Genetic hair loss is particularly common in men. A congenital hypersensitivity of the hair roots to DHT/testosterone manifests itself in the formation of receding hairlines or tonsure. Early application can be useful in order to positively influence the progression.
The second most common cause in men is circular hair loss, which manifests itself in the formation of clearly defined bald/light patches. Febrile infections and certain medications can also trigger diffuse hair loss in men and even lead to chronic telogen effluvium. Transitions and triggers of different types of hair loss are often not clearly distinguishable.
The effectiveness of Thymuskin in chronic telogen effluvium (diffuse hair loss lasting longer than 6 months) and androgenetic hair loss has been clinically confirmed.
